Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC Member Stacy Hissong will join Steve Roznowski, P.E., President and CEO of Spicer Group, at the Lansing Regional Chamber Economic Club luncheon on October 8 for Floods, Funding, and the Future: Michigan’s Water Infrastructure Challenge. FSBR is proud to sponsor the program.
This spring’s severe weather events caused widespread flooding, damaged infrastructure, disrupted transportation networks, and imposed significant costs on communities across Michigan. As local governments, businesses, property owners, and residents continue to address the impacts, important questions remain about how Michigan plans, funds, and manages the infrastructure needed to reduce future risks.
Hissong and Roznowski will discuss the legal, engineering, and economic challenges facing Michigan’s water infrastructure. The program will examine lessons from recent storm events, the role of dams and drainage systems in protecting communities, and the investments and partnerships needed to support public safety, economic growth, and long-term regional resilience.
Hissong leads FSBR’s Environment and Water Resources practice and serves as general counsel to the Michigan Association of County Drain Commissioners. She represents more than 50 county drain commissioners across Michigan and has built a statewide practice focused on the Michigan Drain Code and the legal framework governing water-resource and environmental matters.
Roznowski brings more than 16 years of experience addressing complex water-resource and infrastructure challenges across Michigan and beyond, including projects involving county drains, storm sewers, dams, stream restoration, and wetlands.
