Michelle L. Hutchinson
Overview & Experience
As receptionist, Michelle (fondly known as “Hutch”) literally oversees the comings and goings of the firm at both the front and back doors. She greets visitors, receives and distributes package deliveries, opens and scans daily mail, and answers and directs incoming phone calls. Michelle orders all office supplies, organizes routine and unexpected building maintenance, performs conference room setup and cleanup for attorney-client meetings, and coordinates with the local art guild to select and organize art displays throughout the office. She helps process monthly invoices, sends out client-requested or firm-related forms such as independent contractor statements, insurance documents, and W-9s, and assists staff with a multitude of projects. Additionally, Michelle helps coordinate FSBR outside-of-work events, including employee-only and family-included occasions.
Michelle very much enjoys working with the people at FSBR and the focus that the firm places on its employees and their families.
Michelle joined Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC in 2015. She serves on the firm’s Giving Back, Creating Change Committee which she finds very rewarding as it allows her to participate in making someone’s life a little brighter.
Prior to working at the firm, Michelle was actively involved in the community, volunteering for 18 years at the Lansing School District, holding board positions on PTA and Band Boosters organizations, serving as a 4-H leader and a Cub Scout secretary, and teaching the art of clowning to 12-to 14-year-olds (she holds an advanced certificate from a Clown School!).
When not at work, Michelle enjoys bonfires, board games, reading, and hanging out with family. She especially loves going wine tasting with her two sisters. Additionally, Michelle handmakes all-occasion cards and decorative boxes, and she makes paper and foamerian flowers to attach to those cards.
