Sophia Youssif is an Associate Attorney at Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC, where she focuses her practice on municipal law. She assists local governments with matters involving large-scale development projects, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) compliance, ordinance drafting and review, zoning and land use issues, and constitutional questions that regularly arise in public-sector governance. Sophia approaches this work with careful research, attention to detail, and a practical understanding of the legal and operational issues municipalities face.

Sophia has worked on development-related matters, including researching and drafting data center regulations and reviewing contracts connected to multiple large-scale data center projects. She also assists municipalities with FOIA matters by drafting and revising responses, policies, cost itemizations, and administrative appeal determinations. Her work helps local governments respond to public records requests with clarity, consistency, and attention to legal requirements.

In addition to her FOIA and development work, Sophia has researched and drafted zoning amendments, moratoriums, police power ordinance amendments, and legal opinions addressing constitutional issues in municipal law. She helps translate complex laws and regulations into practical guidance that reflects the needs of each community. Her work is guided by a commitment to helping municipalities adopt policies and amendments that are legally sound, workable, and tailored to the specific conditions and priorities of the communities they serve.
