Attorney Ross Bower of Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC recently spoke at the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys’ 30th Annual Advanced Institute. The title of their presentation was “Property Tax: Current Issues, Legislation Updates, and Litigation Strategies.” The session, held at the Lansing Center in March, 2016, addressed tax appeal tips and a general overview of the Michigan Tax Tribunal, big box retail property appeals, personal property tax changes, and proposed legislation impacting property tax law.
