Overview

Claire is an integral member of the municipal group at FSBR. She approaches legal issues with a listening ear, understanding, and a determination to uncover solutions.  Claire aids clients in many municipal matters, and has worked on several projects for various municipalities, from navigating code enforcement to drafting early voting agreements, analyzing complex lake and road access issues, zoning matters, and a variety of other concerns confronting community leaders.

Claire is passionate about helping local communities. She finds herself particularly intrigued by the constitutional questions that arise in the realm of local government and how those delicate matters are balanced in relation to government actions and individual rights. Through her legal studies, Claire has not only deepened her understanding of legal decision-making, but has also come to appreciate the importance of effective and efficient government operations.

Claire’s strength lies in her exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships – a quality that greatly benefits her representation of municipalities. By taking the time to understand the unique goals and aspirations of each community, she is able to navigate the situation at hand to chart a pathway for success.

When Claire is not doing legal work, she enjoys running, traveling, and giving her cat, Cheese, and dog, Elle, lots of love.

Experience

  • Analyzed riparian and access rights along and at ends of roads.
  • Drafted early voting agreements.
  • Drafted several zoning and police power ordinances.
  • Wrote legal opinions on nonconforming use issues.
