Michelle manages the day-to-day business functions and assists in the overall administration of the firm. She performs a variety of human resource management tasks, including hiring and professional development, onboarding, benefits enrollment, annual performance evaluations of all staff and attorneys, and establishing written policies and procedures for the firm. Michelle handles the firm’s invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. She is responsible for organizing and planning firm social events to maintain the firm’s culture and core values.
Michelle particularly enjoys the variety of her responsibilities and the internal knowledge she holds due to the evolution of her role. The culture contributes to her feeling like a valued and vested member within the firm.
Michelle joined Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes in 2008 as a Receptionist/Legal Assistant, transitioned to a Legal Assistant in 2010, and Office Manager in 2016. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (magna cum laude) from the University of Michigan-Flint and an associate degree in Business, Legal Office Administration (magna cum laude) from Lansing Community College.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, particularly at their cottage on Elk Lake, traveling, and working on home improvement projects. She also likes to serve as a volunteer providing local families with Thanksgiving turkeys, non-perishable foods, personal hygiene products, clothes, and winter apparel.
