Attorney Ross Bower of Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC recently spoke at the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys’ 30th Annual Advanced Institute. The title of their presentation was “Property Tax: Current Issues, Legislation Updates, and Litigation Strategies.” The session, held at the Lansing Center in March, 2016, addressed tax appeal tips and a general overview of the Michigan Tax Tribunal, big box retail property appeals, personal property tax changes, and proposed legislation impacting property tax law. As part of the Advanced Institute, the presentation was attended by municipal attorneys from across the state.
